How Sam Streamlined works

Sam Streamlined is a personal political commentary and policy platform, not a news organisation. This page explains how content here is categorised, sourced and produced, so readers know exactly what they're reading.
Five types of content, clearly separated
Everything published on this site falls into one of five categories, and each is labelled: Politics Streamlined (explanation), Facts & Data (sourced statistics), Opinion (personal argument), Policy (original proposals), and The Streamlined Take (Sam's personal reading, appended to the end of an explainer). These are never mixed within a single article without being clearly distinguished.
Politics Streamlined explainers aim to describe political issues fairly, including the strongest versions of opposing arguments, without endorsing a conclusion. Where an explainer includes a Streamlined Take, that section is visually and explicitly marked as Sam's own opinion, separate from the explanation above it. Opinion and Policy content is explicitly personal throughout — it represents Sam Streamlined's own views and proposals, not a neutral house position.
Sourcing standard
Every factual claim, statistic or figure used on this site is sourced, and the source is named in the article — typically an official body (such as ONS, HM Treasury, NHS England or the OBR) or another named, checkable source. Where a figure is an estimate or projection, that is stated.
